Overview

We provide specialist teaching, support and advice for children and young people (CYP) aged 0 to 25 years, with vision impairments.

Our support is provided from the point of diagnosis in homes, pre-school, school and post-school settings.

Our Visual Impairment Specialist Teaching Team includes:

  • a braille instructor
  • habilitation specialists
  • a qualified teacher for children with multi-sensory (deaf-blind) impairment
  • qualified teachers of CYP with vision impairments (QTVI's)
  • sensory support specialists
  • a specialist ICT technician
