Targeting Support Meetings (TSMs)

Expectations, aims and what schools need to do for TSMs.

Overview

Local authorities are expected to have regular attendance Targeting Support Meetings with schools, dependent on need.

A TSM is a supportive meeting between a school’s Senior Attendance Champion (lead for attendance), and a member of the local authority Attendance Specialist Team (AST).

Depending on the individual needs of each school, other LA colleagues may also be in attendance. This can include your school’s:

  • Inclusion Partner
  • School Effectiveness Partner
