SEND funding

We can provide funding for additional resources without having to carry out a statutory assessment. This is known as an Individual Pupil Resourcing Agreement (IPRA).

IPRAs are not a way of getting early or additional funding to support statutory assessment requests. They can only be considered to help with the following:

• medical needs funding
• transitional funding

They will cease if a pupil:

• is no longer the funding responsibility of Essex
• moves to a different school

Transitional funding applications will only be offered for up to 2 terms with schools then expected to apply for an EHC needs assessment if required.
