Below are a range of training packages your schools/setting can access. The aim is to support Children and Young People's (CYP's) emotional wellbeing and mental health.
TPP for Essex Schools and Settings
Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) is the Essex approach to understanding behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing.
TPP training consists of 9 training Elements, plus Train the Trainer. It starts with the headteacher/manager engaging in the first 2 Elements, before nominating a TPP lead from your leadership team to access the Train the Trainer and then deliver the remaining 7 Elements to your staff, with our support of course. There are 2 options for this: Advanced – approx. 14 hours whole-staff training, or: Intermediate: approx. 5 hours whole-staff training.
There is a cost of £25 at the point of Train the Trainer to access our online platform which hosts all the training materials and provides access to a county-wide TPP community network.
Contact tpp@essex.gov.uk to find out more or be added to our 'expression of interest' list
TPP for Essex Partners
This shorter course is aimed at community-based providers working in Essex to support schools/settings, children/young people and families. It is an opportunity for Essex providers and partners to learn more about TPP, access the key training content and consider how they can adopt and support the values of TPP in their work with schools/settings, children/young people and families.
Please note, this training is not for schools/settings.
