Child Mental Health Training

CYP Psychological First Aid online course

This 3-week online course provides psychological first aid training to support children and young people’s mental health during emergencies and crises.

This training takes place over the 3 weekly 1-hour sessions, produced by Public Health England and provided by FutureLearn.

Early health and Team around the family Workshops

This free online course explains how to hold a ‘Team around the family meeting’ and create an ‘Early help’ plan.

The training is aimed at anyone working with children and families in Essex.

Level 4 Award in Supporting Children and Young People with SEMH

This accredited course is designed to build knowledge and confidence and develop a range of practical skills to fulfil a school-based support role for children and young people with SEMH.

This training is provided by ACL Essex who are the largest provider of adult education in the county.

A range of free UK Government courses to help you help those around you and gain recognised mental health qualifications.

The training is fully funded via the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and provided through Free Course Online (FCO).

Suicide prevention training

Free online training courses to give you the skills and confidence to have a potentially life-saving conversation with someone you’re worried about.

This training is provided by the Zero Suicide Alliance which aims to empower, educate and equip individuals and organisations to support suicide awareness and prevention.

Free 20-minute awareness training to help you learn how to spot the signs of suicidal thoughts and potentially save a life.
