An introduction for those new to supporting CYPVI in their classrooms.
Topics covered include the following:
1 day.
SENCos, class teachers and learning support assistants who are new to teaching and supporting CYPVI.
A quadrant-based setting.
Free.
This training is by invitation only and offered yearly to all mainstream schools who receive a new pupil with vision impairment.
These are sessions for schools, pre-school settings and colleges designed to support them to meet the inclusion needs of a specific pupil with vision impairment.
Topics covered will include the following:
Usually delivered as a twilight session often in a workshop format.
SENCOs, class teachers and learning support assistants.
In the school, pre-school setting or college.
Free.
Contact your pupil’s specialist teacher for vision impairment.
Topic-based workshops for pre-school, school or college staff working with high needs children with vision impairment.
Topics we’re proposing to offer include the following:
Half-day or twilight.
SENCos, class teachers and learning support assistants who are teaching and supporting CYPVI.
A quadrant-based school or setting.
Free.
Contact your specific pupil’s specialist teacher for vision impairment.
This 30-minute training video will increase your knowledge of visual impairment.
You will also learn about what you can do to include students with visual impairment in class.
At the end there’s a post-course task for you to do. Once we receive it, we’ll send you a certificate of completion.
