Early help support for families

Early help advice, guidance, and Team Around a Family meetings.

Evidencing TAF meetings

As part of the Supporting Families Programme, we need to demonstrate:

  • the number of Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings being held
  • the partners schools work with and where the greatest needs are
  • understanding the barriers schools face regarding early help support for pupils and their families
  • what additional support is needed

This will also help ECC to understand the demand on services so that we can direct available funding into the areas most needed. Schools may also find this evidence invaluable for Ofsted and Inclusion Reviews.

The evidence shared by schools will feed into the Education Data team at ECC. This will be used to populate reports that you can use to evidence the work that you are doing with families.

Such reports can be used to facilitate data-informed discussions with:

  • school governing bodies
  • Ofsted
  • LA colleagues
  • any other party where your continued use of a collaborative and inclusive approach may need to be evidenced

To help you evidence the TAF meetings you hold, complete our online form.

Notification of an initial TAF

The form generates an automatic reminder 6 months after submission. You can review the impact your work has had on the pupil and their family.

Previous TAFs

Complete the evidencing outcomes from a TAF online form for any previously held TAFs.

This will inform us of how the support offered made a difference to the family.

You will receive an email copy of this form to save with your safeguarding records to use as evidence.
