Quality Assurance Team & Non School Alternative Provision
The Quality Assurance team is represented by colleagues from the Education Access team and SEND Provision and is responsible for ensuring that all placements and providers are complaint, safe, and continue support children to make progress and meet expected outcomes.
To achieve this, the team works proactively to build strong, trusting relationships with:
• Parents and carers
• Students
• Non-school alternative provision
All non-school alternative provision providers are expected to meet the standards outlined in the IPES framework. This framework ensures that every educational placement is not only safe and suitable but also tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil. You can read more about our framework here: Alternative provision: Alternative provision | Essex Schools Infolink
Commissioning schools remain fully responsible for the safe placement of all pupils on their roll accessing alternative provisions. Further guidance on commissioning unregistered AP can be found in the Safeguarding Commissioning Alternative Education guidance.
