We support schools, academies and education settings to be equally and effectively inclusive.
We provide this support to meet children and young people’s needs through our SEND Inclusion and Psychology Team.
Inclusion partner (IP) support
All schools and academies have a named IP to support early years settings, schools and colleges.
IPs help develop inclusive practice and deliver improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND and their families. Their knowledge, skills and experience come from a range of backgrounds and draw upon evidence-based practice.
Educational psychologist (EP) support
All schools and academies have a named EP that provides free services negotiated in partnership with staff.
EPs can offer support during critical incidents. Further information can be found on our Report a critical incident web page.
We also offer a parent helpline every Monday between 1pm and 5pm.
Further information about the Educational Psychology (EP) Service is available on our Essex SEND Local Offer website.
