Designated mental health leads newsletter ​​

We send out a half-termly newsletter for DMHLs in schools and settings. Called the ‘Designated mental health leads newsletter’, it’s aimed at DMHLs but will be of interest to anyone supporting SEMH in children and young people.

Mental health campaign days

We’ve put together a list of key SEMH campaign days and dates for the current academic year, should you wish to celebrate them in your school or setting.

DMHL meetings

We run a series of network meetings for Essex DHMLs across the academic year. These take place once a term and are either online county-wide meetings or face-to-face quadrant cluster meetings.

These meetings are only for DHMLs who work in schools and settings in Essex.

Upcoming meetings

Individual face-to-face DMHL meetings for each quadrant cluster will take place on the following dates:

Mid quadrant meeting

Wednesday 3 July 2024 - 10am to 12pm

North East quadrant meeting

Wednesday 12 June 2024 - 10am to 12pm

South quadrant meeting

Wednesday 26 June 2024 - 10am to 12pm

West quadrant meeting

Thursday 4 July 2024 - 10am to 12pm

We offer DMHL training as part of the government’s commitment to offer this to all eligible schools and colleges by 2025.
