Accredited SENCO courses

These courses offer accredited qualifications including those that are mandatory for new-to-role SENCOs. For example, the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).

Mandatory qualification update

From autumn 2024, the mandatory qualification for SENCOs will change from the NASENCO to the National Professional Qualification (NPQ) SENCO. The status of the NASENCO will not change and anyone who holds this qualification will not need to study for the NPQSENCO.

SENCOs and aspiring SENCOs who start the NASENCO qualification before the end of the 2024 academic year will not be required to study for the 18 month NPQ SENCO qualification.

If you want to register interest in the upcoming NPQ SENCO visit the Eastern Partnership UK (EPUK) SEND website.
