Access School Improvement Services

Page last updated: 18/10/2023

From September 2023, the School Effectiveness Team will be changing its school improvement offer to schools.

Please see the information below to see how this affects your school.

Maintained Schools

Maintained schools will continue to receive a core offer of support provided to them through their School Effectiveness Partner (SEP) and through the partnership support model in relation to the education directorate's core strategic priorities.

The core offer will continue to be linked to the prioritisation level of support schools receive.

Maintained schools will also have the option to select additional support from the traded services menu.

Academies / Non-Maintained Schools

Academies will no longer have access to a core support offer as of September 2023. However, they will retain a named School Effectiveness Partner (SEP) for immediate contact purposes and for booking school improvement support. Please take a look at the traded services brochure below for more details.

Academies will continue to be supported within the partnership support model in relation to the education directorate's core strategic priorities.

Traded Services and How to Book

The School Effectiveness Team are able to offer a range of traded activities which schools may find of use. Schools can use their named School Effectiveness Partner (SEP) for this, or they can take a look at the SEP Pen Portraits in the Traded Services Brochure below and select an alternative SEP depending on the service they wish to book.

For details of traded services available, prices (including the early bird offer) and how to book, please take a look at the Traded Services brochure.

Book Traded Support

Should you wish to discuss anything prior to booking, please either contact your School Effectiveness Partner (SEP) directly, or email Workforcedevelopment@essex.gov.uk.
