Phase 2 of the School-Based Nursery Capital Funding programme offers an exciting opportunity for schools to expand and enhance early years provision within their site. Designed to support the creation of high-quality nursery spaces, this funding aims to increase access to early education for children aged 2 to 4, particularly in areas of greatest need. Schools are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this capital investment to build inclusive, sustainable nursery spaces that meet the needs of local families. Phase 2 builds on the success of the initial round, driving forward innovation and excellence in early years education.
The phase 2 applicant guidance, including details of the grant process, is available here. Schools are also invited to attend the DfE’s upcoming Webinar on Thursday 16 October 10am – 11.30am to hear more about the application process and hear more about the grant. There is also an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. Schools can register for the webinar here.
