Irregular attendance

The deadline for all new irregular school attendance referrals to be submitted to the Attendance Compliance Team for 2023 to 2024 has now passed.

The deadline was shared with all schools via the Education weekly newsletter, dated Monday 24 June 2024.

For the start of the new academic year 2024 to 2025, this page will be refreshed to reflect updated pre-referral evidence expectations. These will apply to all new cases being referred for penalty notice/direct prosecution under the new statutory 'Working together to improve school attendance' guidance.
