Last Wednesday, Governors and Headteachers were invited to attend an LA webinar focused upon the ECC Disadvantaged Strategy. The session was delivered by Emma Knights OBE, Chief Executive Officer of the National Governance Association and titled, “Disadvantage: Behind the label."
The session explored what we mean by 'disadvantage', how governing boards can work with school leaders develop a strategic and evidence based approach to addressing disadvantage in their own settings and the importance of involving stakeholders in improving the learning experiences for 'disadvantaged' pupils.
