From Monday 16 April 2018,
the process for child protection referrals and requests for support to the Children and Families Hub is changing.
A new website, Essex Effective Support
will provide access to an online 'Request for Support' portal. The website will bring together, in one place, the Essex Directory of Services, guidance and tools to support practitioners in their work with children and families across Levels 1, 2, 3 and 5 of the Windscreen of Need.
This 'Request for Support' portal will replace the current Children and Families Hub email route
) - this email address will cease on Friday 13 April 2018, so must not be used for referrals.
PLEASE NOTE: The arrangements for contacting the Emergency Duty Service for immediate safeguarding concerns and urgent out of hours support remain the same.
For further information, please read this important letter
from Helen Lincoln, Executive Director for Children and Families and this briefing
, which provides further information about the new process, based on feedback from the testing.
Thank you to all colleagues who supported with the testing of the new system - feedback was very positive and helped to improve Phase One of the website and the Request for Support form.
