Safeguarding CSE / Gangs / Exploitation training

In response to increasing concern from schools about the risks to their pupils from exploitation, be it sexual or criminal, I am pleased to invite you to an event to support you in this work. This event is open to all schools with KS3 and KS4 pupils (I will be looking at something for primary schools at a later date) and there is no charge for attending. Please note that places will be limited to two per school.
Event description: This is a course for safeguarding designated leads in secondary schools to support them in their work around exploitation, raise awareness of support and resources available and to equip them to deliver training to all staff in their own schools
- Have an understanding of Essex data and the current risks and issues
- Have an understanding of what exploitation is and the different forms it can take
- Have an awareness of services and resources to support schools in this work
- Have the knowledge to support delivery of training to all staff back in schools
- Have an awareness of current workstreams in Essex and how partners are working together
Hospitality: Lunch will be provided; please ensure you let us know if you have any dietary requirements when booking your place. Tea / coffee will also be available throughout the day
This event will be held on 3rd April 2019 at Hamptons (Great Baddow). It will start at 10am, with arrival from 9.30am (tea / coffee will be served) and end at 4pm – further details will be sent to attendees nearer the time.
