An exciting poetry competition is now available for all Essex, Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea schools to take part in. This competition has been put together to help raise awareness of Project EDWARD
European Day Without A Road Death - Thursday 21 September 2017
Project EDWARD has been developed by the network of European traffic forces, and the Safer Essex Roads Partnership
has begun a countdown to this day.
Schools can only submit one poem and the following prizes will be rewarded:
- One winner will receive a brand new iPad
- Two runners-up will receive a Kindle Fire
All entries are to be sent to the Safer Essex Roads Partnership on firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 29 September 2017.
- An original poem must be created
- The poem must be related to road safety (walking to school, driving, being a passenger, horse riding and cycling etc)
- Maximum of 200 words
Poems will be judged by members of the partnership including Essex Police, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust. Winners will be announced on Monday 30 October 2017.
